Welcome to the Gerlingerwirt
We - the innkeepers Christine and Simon Hörl - are happy to give you some information about our house. The inn lies in the small village Gerling, roughly 5 km from the town of Saalfelden. Tasty food, comfortable rooms and a friendly atmosphere are waiting for you at the Gerlingerwirt.
As early as 1799, our ancestors tried to get a permission for running an inn, which they finally got in 1834. After destruction by a fire in 1912, the inn was rebuilt in its current state. The Gerlingerwirt is still owned by the Hörl family.
Our rooms
Our inn offers 14 cozy rooms in two houses. 4 of them are large suites, ideal for families with kids. All of our rooms have a shower, WC, hair dryer and cable TV. Most of them also have a large balcony.

We offer you traditional specialities like Pinzgauer Bladl and focus on simple, yet tasty meals. We take great care to use sustainably produced ingredients and obtain them from local farmers and our own hunting grounds. If you have special wishes, we are happy to compile an individual menu with you.
Our restaurant is ideal for small parties and celebrations like marriages, baptisms, birthdays or company events. In the summer, you can enjoy a comfortable get-together in our garden.
The region
The Gerlingerwirt lies in the Saalfeldener Becken, at the foot of the mountain Schwalbenwand.
In the winter, you can reach the major ski resorts of the region (Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang, Maria Alm-Hochkönig, Zell am See-Kaprun) within 10-20 minutes by car. Cross-country skiing trails go directly by our house and you can also start a ski tour on the Schwalbenwand from right outside our door.
In the summer, the region allows for a multitude of sporting activities like hiking, mountaineering, golfing, cycling or swimming. Alternatively, you can just relax in the beautiful surroundings of the Austrian Alps.
